Teignbridge District Council Core Strategy Consultation
|
Local people can have their say on the draft plan from Monday 9 January 2012, with this stage of the consultation running until Friday 2 March 2012. During that time residents and other interested parties can view the plan and have their say online at www.teignbridge.gov.uk/planteignbridge. The page includes maps, short summary booklets for each major area, a copy of the full plan, other information to explain the proposals, and an all-important link to the online consultation.
There will an opportunity to view plans and give your comments on Saturday 11th February between 10am and 4pm at the Community Hall, Rydon Road. |

| This year's Civic Carol Service will be held in the Community Hall, Rydon Road and will be led by Rev David GODDARD of Kingsteignton Community Baptist Church. There will be musical items from both primary schools and familiar lessons and carols. |

A new member of staff has joined the Town Clerk's office. Caroline Lowe has been appointed as part time office assistant at the Council's Rydon Road base. |

WEAR YOUR BADGE WITH PRIDE
is the slogan used to launch the new Kingsteignton lapel badge being sold to raise funds for Kingsteignton's celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee next year.
The badges are available from the Council Office or any Town Councillor priced at £2.50p or £4 for two. |

Babs ERRINGTON Cllr Rebecca HUNT |
At an Extraordinary Council Meeting on Wednesday 17 August Cllr Rebecca HUNT was co-opted onto the council. Unfortunately, at the same meeting Cllr Babs ERRINGTON tendered her resignation on grounds of ill health. We welcome Cllr HUNT and thank Babs for her contribution to the council and wish her well for the future. |

Mayor's Scout, Scott FEAR |
Kingsteignton's first ever 'Mayor's Scout' is ten year old Scott FEAR from 1st Newton Abbot (Kingsteignton) Sea Scouts. Scott was introduced to the Town Council and presented with his sash at the July Council Meeting. |

At the July Council Meeting, the Mayor presented PCSO Vanessa PIKE with a Certificate Of Good Citenzenship.
The citation read,'Presented to PCSO Vanessa PIKE in recognition of her contribution to crime reduction and support for young people of the Town.' |

On Saturday 25 June, The Mayor & Mayoress officially opened the Kingsteignton History Society's first exhibition - staged to celebrate the 1300th anniversary of the founding of a recorded settlement at Kingsteignton. |
